POI Fossil Locations Guide
I finally got around to 100% POI and I decided to share the love with you guys. Like other games in the genre, POI has a lot of things for you to find. The list is pretty long, but let me just say there is a lot of stuff to find. One collectible are the Fossils. Basically fossils are found in small sand piles around the map and need to be dug up. The shovel can be purchased from the Old Explorer, so consider doing this relatively soon. In total there are 32 fossils to collect. Collecting all the fossils in a level gives you a Explorer Medallion. Below is our POI fossil locations guide.
Cozy Canyon
Beside ramp leading to lighthouse area.
Beside fox and fox cave.
Opposite corner of map from start.
Next to the waterwheel
On an island beside three tightropes.
Below the rocket.
Across from the rocket.
Beside the castle wall at entrance.
Magma Mountain
Near the archeologist.
Right of the archeologist. Look for this bone on the mountain.
Inside the ruins. Statute for reference.
Beside the large skeleton on the walkway/path.
Head to the bottom of the level either via the hole or cave. Look for the dead end with these bars.
Look for this paw symbol. The fossil is found in an alcove beside it (you have to jump to get up here).
Main path in the volcanic area. Look for a platform in the side of the hill.
Across from the hole that takes you to the lower portion of level. Found in the volcanic area.
