Pokemon Company 2019 Press Conference Set for May 28
On Tuesday, May 28th at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, the Pokemon Company is holding a press conference to show off new “topics of interest to Pokémon fans.” This press conference is separate from the announced Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield Direct which is being held on June 5.
While it remains to be seen what exactly the Pokemon Company will be showing, there is a good chance that mobile game developer DeNA will be there to show something off. The studio behind Super Mario Run and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp have announced that they are working on a “new and exciting smartphone game … based on the globally popular Pokémon franchise, in partnership with The Pokémon Company.” This new mobile title is slated to drop sometime this year or next (within DeNA’s fiscal year ending March 2020).
In the past these Pokemon Company press conferences have touched on upcoming titles such as Pokémon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon Let’s Go, Eevee!, as well as mobile games like Pokemon Go.
You can watch the press conference at the Pokemon Company’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.
