Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield Starters
Early this morning Nintendo held a Pokemon Direct to announce Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. This new Pokemon Switch game introduces a new region as well as new Pokemon to the mix. Check out the Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield starters below.
Starters in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield
Like other Pokemon games in the series, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield follows a similar design in having three types (grass, fire, water). The three starters in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield are:
- Grookey (left): Grass Chimp Pokemon. This mischievous Pokemon is full of boundless curiosity.
- Scorbunny (middle): Fire Rabbit Pokemon. Always running about; bursting with energy.
- Sobble (right): Water Lizard Pokemon. A bit timid; shoots out attacks as it hides itself in the water.

There is currently no release date set for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, but Nintendo has announced it will be coming to Nintendo Switch sometime in late 2019.
