Red Dead Redemption 2 Pre Order Bonuses and Special Editions Revealed

Rockstar shared a nice few surprise reveals on their upcoming western game Red Dead Redemption 2, with the announcement of the game’s pre-order and special edition bonuses today. Let’s take a closer look at the Red Dead Redemption 2 pre order bonuses and special editions below.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Pre-Order Bonuses

Right off the bat, those of you who pre-order Red Dead Redemption 2 will have access to a couple of in game items. These items are the War Horse and Outlaw Survival Kit (both pictured above). Rockstar shared a brief description on each item:

War Horse: This handsome iron-grey-colored Ardennes War Horse can always be relied on in the heat of the battle. With greater courage and stamina than the average steed, this is a horse that knows how to keep its head under fire.

The Outlaw Survival Kit: The Outlaw Survival Kit contains a collection of key supplies for enduring the rigors of life on the frontier, including items to replenish Health, Dead Eye and more.

Alongside these two in game items, players that pre-order digital copies (Xbox One/PS4) will receive a Cash Bonus and Treasure Map to be used in game. The Cash Bonus will allow players to buy weapons, food, and other useful items as needed. The Treasure Map will help players find buried treasure around the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

Rockstar is also giving away GTA$ for those that pre-order digitally. The Standard edition will net you $500K, the Special Edition will net you $1 million, and the Ultimate Edition will net you $2 million for your GTA V online account.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Special Edition ($79.99 USD)

Alongside the pre-order bonuses are a number of different editions of Red Dead Redemption 2 for purchase. The first (and cheapest) is the Special Edition. This edition features the following additions to the base Red Dead Redemption 2:

• Special Edition Slip Cover.
• Exclusive World Map.
• Bank Robbery and Gang Hideout.
• Dappled Black Thoroughbred Horse (comes with Nuevo Paraiso Saddle).
• The Nuevo Paraiso Gunslinger Outfit.
• Talisman & Medallion Gameplay Bonuses.
• Gameplay Boosts, Cash Bonuses and discounts.
• Access to additional weapons – Volcanic Pistol, Pump Action Shotgun, Lancaster Varmint Rifle.

Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition ($99.99 USD)

If the Special Edition is lacking, or you just have some spare coin to throw around, maybe consider picking up the Ultimate Edition. This edition features everything from the Special Edition plus these extra items:

• Blackrose Bounty Hunter & Copperhead Enforcer Outfits.
• Black Chestnut Thoroughbred Horse (comes with High Plains Cutting Saddle).
• Survivor Camp Theme for online play.
• Online Rank Bonuses up to rank 25 (rank faster).

Red Dead Redemption 2: Collector’s Box

Besides the Special and Ultimate editions, Rockstar is also selling what they call the Collector’s Box. This box does not come with a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2, but instead features a ton of Red Dead Redemption 2 swag you can’t get anywhere else. If physical items are your jam, here’s what’s in store for you in the box:

• Treasure Map.
• Pin Set.
• Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue.
• Playing Cards.
• Metal Tithing Box with Lock & Key.
• Collectible Challenge Coin.
• Six Shooter Bandana.
