Resident Evil 7 Trailer Has Guns and Cannibalism
The Tokyo Game Show 2016 is currently in full swing and Capcom has used the occasion to release a new trailer for Resident Evil 7. A couple of screenshots were released leading up to the trailer reveal in order to get people hyped. The new Resident Evil 7 trailer reveals more about the story.
Players will take on the role of protagonist Ethan. Ethan finds himself in Dulvey, Louisiana on the farm of some crazy family called the Bakers. The Bakers appear to be some type of cannibal family, if the dinner scene is any indication. During the scene, Ethan refuses to eat whatever unidentified ‘parts’ the Bakers offer him. Refusing appears to be a mistake, as Ethan receives a knife to the face to end the trailer off. Other interesting parts of the trailer include the reveal of a handgun, people walking through walls, people burning alive and a cop that I can only assume is the first victim.
It remains to be seen how this game fits into the Resident Evil series, but one thing is for sure, the Bakers have some type of secret they are hiding. The trailer makes it pretty clear that the Bakers are not normal. Whether this means they have supernatural powers, or are some high functioning undead is still unknown. What may be the case is that Umbrella Corp has a hand in these individuals abilities.
Resident Evil 7 will release January 24, 2017
