South Park: The Fractured But Whole Delayed Until 2017
Easily the saddest news I have heard today is that South Park: The Fractured But Whole delayed until 2017. Initially slated to release in December, the games developers have decided to put more time into the title. Now, according to a blog post from Ubisoft, players can expect the game sometime in the first quarter of 2017.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole, is a sequel to 2014’s South Park: The Stick of Truth. To see the game delayed is definitely a bummer. However if this means the delivery of an even better product, I am all for it. Ubisoft’s response was short and straight forward, ” The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal.”
The delay could possibly be due to the new season of South Park starting last night. With the way Trey Parker and Matt Stone approach creating each episode (doing it the week of), their focus has shifted. Either way, my most anticipated game of 2016 has now become my most anticipated game of 2017.
