Stardew Valley Split-Screen Coming in Update 1.5
The mega popular indie title Stardew Valley is no stranger to large updates and unsurprisingly there is a new one in the works. Dubbed Stardew Valley 1.5 this upcoming game update features a number of unannounced additions to the farming the will be free of charge for players. The game’s creator ConcernedApe has been teasing aspects of the update sporadically with today’s reveal being that Stardew Valley split-screen is now going to be a thing.
Stardew Valley Split-Screen Coming in Update 1.5
Each update added to Stardew Valley typically consists of new content and changes to the game that the community and ConcernedApe want made. One of the more popular suggested additions has been adding the ability for local split-screen gameplay.
It appears this suggestion is now being implemented. ConcernedApe revealed splitscreen co-op via the tweet above. Besides revealing splitscreen the screenshot provided hint at a number of other new additions coming in the update. In replying to a question ConcernApe added further details of what to expect out of local split-screen:
Yup! splitscreen will be coming to console and PC, though the number of simultaneous players might vary (on PC, you will be able to have up to 4, but on some platforms it might be limited to 2)

When update 1.5 will be released has yet to be announced. So far not a ton is known about the update but we do know that there will be new fruit trees and some other fun new additions added as well. This new update is not the only thing ConcernedApe is working on with a couple of Stardew Valley projects currently in the works.
