Stone Owl: What it Does, Event It Unlocks – Stardew Valley
ConcernedApe has hidden a number of secrets inside Stardew Valley for players to encounter. Some of these secrets have to be sought out while others occur purely by chance. One of the secrets that occurs by chance is the appearance of the rare owl statue on your farm. To learn everything you need to know about the Stone Owl see our guide below.
How to Get the Stone Owl Event
The Stone Owl is an event players can randomly get on their farm after year one of farming. This event has a less than 1/100 chance of occurring each night much like the Strange Capsule rare event.
To get the Stone Owl to appear on your farm ensure you have an open tile for the item to spawn. Once this is done you just need to advance each day until the event happens. You will know the event has occurred as you will hear a Owl sound while sleeping. The day after the sound effect you will have the owl sculpture on a tile on your farm.
What is the Point of the Stone Owl?
The Stone Owl that appears on your farm during the night is purely decorative. Like other decorative items in the game you can pick up the statue and place it wherever you wish. If you do pick up the statue you will find the description of the item is “It’s not clear where this came from, but it looks very fine.” Also keep in mind this event sculpture is unrelated to the owl statue you can get from the Night Market.
That’s all you need to know about the random item spawn and the Easter Egg attached to it. This is just one of many Easter Eggs in Stardew Valley. The official game wiki is a good place to look if you are wanting to see all that have been found so far. Good luck hunting for the different secrets.
I’m on a riverside farm, got it on Winter 12 of Year 1.
Yeah I wonder if the activation chance is raised, I was trying the four corners farm and got it in the 23 of spring year 1
I started a new farm to try out the beach farm and I got the owl on the 16th of Spring year 1
