The End is Nigh Cartridge Guide
The Future Cartridges
After you have beaten The Past, you move on to The Future. Inside The Future is a bunch of new worlds to conquer. Like The Past, The Future features a few hidden cartridges for you to find. Here are The Future cartridges locations below.
Tumor Trade In
Locations: Arid Flats 5 -> Steven I
Unlocks Game: Denial!
Collect: To collect this cartridge, you need to have collected 50 tumors. Once you have 50 tumors, head to The Arid Flats 5. Here there is a creature that will allow you to visit ‘The Future’ Basically ‘The Future’ is a really hard level that will probably frustrate you. Complete the level and at the end is the Denial! cartridge.
Locations: Golgotha 20 -> Steven II
Unlocks Game: Anger
Collect: You need to collect 100 Tumors and then find Steven in Golgotha 20 (easy to see). Talk to Steven and he will let you into The Future. There are two rooms here you need to beat to reach the cartridge.
Locations: SS Exodus 7 -> Steven III
Unlocks: Bargaining
Collect: You need at least 170 tumors to unlock this The Future level. Once you have the tumors, head to Steven in SS Exodus 7. Complete the two rooms and the cartridge is yours.
Location: The End 0 (Above your home)
Unlocks Game: Depression
Collect: Once you have 300+ Tumors, return to your home at The End and head up. You need to beat two rooms in order to reach the final cartridge.
Anguish (2/2)
Location: Anguish 0
Unlocks Game: Spike Tales
Collect: As soon as you arrive in Anguish, go up. Above the starting area is the first cartridge. You need to do some brief platforming to get to the cartridge that is suspended over the entrance hole. Good luck!
Location: Anguish 12
Unlocks Game: Scab or Die
Collect: When you make it to Anguish 12, ride the middle platform up. This will take you to the secret rooms. In total there are four rooms to clear before making it to the cartridge room. These rooms are hard so good luck!
Gloom
Location: Gloom 5
Unlocks Game: Tombs & Torture
Collect: Make it to Gloom 5 and ground pound the area directly below the starting platform. This will take you into the secret rooms. There are a total of five rooms to clear to get to the cartridge. Good luck!
Blight
Location: Blight 12
Unlocks Game: Pus – Man
Collect: In Blight 12, use the first floating platform to wall smash to the left. Drop down and you will be inside the secret room. There are 5 rooms to beat to get to the cartridge.
Ruin + Acceptance (2/2)
Location: Ruin 12/Acceptance 12 (Same Room)
Unlocks Game: Ghosts n Grieving; Dead Racer
Collect: Jump above the ghost up top to access the secret room. In total there are 5 rooms to clear to get to the cartridge.
Bonus Carts
There are a total of 3 bonus carts you get after finding all the carts in the game:
1. The Super Mega Cart: Collect all 9 retro cartridges from the past.
2. Acceptance: Collect all 4 carts from Steven
3. The End is Nigh: Collect 450+ tumors and jump into the orb at the end of The Ruin.
