Central Production B Walkthrough – The Surge
Conveyor Hub
Now that we have made our way through the Material Depot, we can head into the Conveyor Hub area. This area has multiple rooms to explore, but only one real way of progression. To start head along the walkway towards the Lynx RIG and the Rhino RIG (it will shoot at you). In this area beside the white containers blocking the entrance between Conveyor Hub and Material Depot is a Loot Pyramid. Pick it up and continue going further into Conveyor Hub.
When you get into the room that had the Rhino RIG that was shooting at you, turn left and head straight. Inside the next room is another Rhino RIG (hard to miss). Take out the Rhino RIG and you’ll see a ramp heading down and an upper area. Before going down, investigate the upper area. There is a Lynx RIG up here, but also a Loot Pyramid of 1x Pile of Metal Scrap. Grab it and head on your way down the ramp.
Shortcut to OPS
Heading down the ramp, you will see a Rhino RIG waiting for you. There is a second Rhino RIG on top of a platform to the left who will shoot at you while you engage the other Rhino RIG. Your best bet is to kite the bottom Rhino RIG up the ramp and fight him here. Once defeated, proceed to take out the second Rhino RIG. At the bottom of the ramp, we have a few options. We can go straight, right, or left. To start we will go left, to open a shortcut back to OPS.
When you head to the left, you will see a set of pipes spanning across a wide gap. Walk across these pipes and you will see an Maintenance Hatch. Out of the hatch will burst a Lynx RIG. Deal with the enemy and head into the maintenance walkway. Take the EXO – Lift up and open the door. Head through the door and you will return to Personnel Arrival and an easy run back to OPS.
Optional: Vendor Cult
Now that we have a relatively easy run back to the room with the ramp in Conveyor Hub, we can explore a bit. The first place you can go is the Vendor Cult room. To get to this room, make your way back to the ramp room and head to the right side of the room. To know you are in the right area, look for a Welding Robot at the bottom of a ramp going up. Kill or sneak past the Welding Robot and go up the ramp. Before entering the Vendor Cult room, hang a left along the top of the ramp and collect the Loot Pyramid here.
Head back to the door to the Vendor Cult room and make your way inside. The Vendor Cult is a bunch of RIGs gathered around a vending machine. This vending machine gives you access to the Iron Maus set (see subguide). Killing all the Vendor Cult gives you the ‘Infidel’ achievement. That’s all that’s in this room. Head back to the ramp room.
Optional: Help Irina
Head back to the pipe shortcut area and head down some stairs near the entrance to the large room. On the landing on the stairwell is Irina. Irina will tell you that she needs a staff weapon. To get the staff for Irina, take out a CREO security officer. There are two CREO officers located further down the stairs from where Irina is. Taking the staff to Irina will complete a portion of her side quest.
Getting to Recycling
The reason we need to head through the Conveyor Hub is to get to Recycling. There are two options to get to Recycling. One way is easy, the other is much harder. I’ll show you both ways, but I highly recommend the easy way.
Easy Way – Go inside the large room with the Welding Robot. Head up the ramp and use the EXO – Lift. Inside the Maintenance Tunnel, take your first left. Cross over the piping and make your way to the staircase. Head down the stairs and drop inside Recycling.
Hard Way – Opposite the staircase you met Irina is a large hallway. Make your way into the hallway (there are two RIG enemies here). After dealing with the enemies, look for a door on your left, there will be a large bridge here leading to Recycling. There are a number of enemies on the bridge.
There are a few side areas inside Conveyor Hub which contain some items which may be useful to you, however I will not be covering them here. Once you have the shortcut to OPS open, make sure to explore a bit before heading to Recycling if you feel so inclined.
