Ubisoft E3 2017 Conference – Announces Old and New Games
SO MANY CONFERENCES! I can easily say this is the first time I’ve sat down and watched every E3 conference in its entirety. I don’t know if I like it. Anyways, today there were two conferences on the ‘final’ day of E3. The first company who presented, was Ubisoft. Peep the Ubisoft E3 2017 conference announcements below.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is Probably Not What You Expected
There was hints at a Mario & Rabbids crossover being in the works, and now we got a chance to see it in action. To be perfectly honest, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is probably completely different than anything you expected. Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a tactical, strategy based game in the similar style of something like Xcom. Peeps the trailer above. Tell me it ain’t weird!
The Crew 2 Announced
The Crew is an open world racing game that was released back in 2014. Ubisoft used there E3 conference to announce that there would be sequel called, The Crew 2. Unlike The Crew, The Crew 2 will feature a ton of vehicles to drive. A ton. The trailer shows off cars, racecars, off-road cars, planes, boats, bikes, and more. These vehicles will be put task across various racing events, including Formula One, Red Bull Air Races. and Sprint Boat racing. Check out the announcement trailer to get the blood pumping.
Skull & Bones Lets You Loot and Plunder
Ubisoft debuted footage of pirate game Skull & Bones. Skull & Bones is a pirate themed, multiplayer game which emphasis plundering loot with your friends. A lot of the reveal, looks like Ubisoft took the ship elements of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and made a game focused solely on that. Say what you will about Ubisoft, but at least they are producing a healthy amount of new IPs.
Far Cry 5 Shows some Gameplay
It wouldn’t be a Ubisoft conference without the involvement of some of Ubisoft’s flagship titles. As Far Cry 5 is currently the new hotness, Ubisoft continued moving the hype machine along by showing off some gameplay. Gameplay looks to be pretty Far Cry standard, but with more options.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 Announced 13 Years After Original
Apparently, some people have been waiting 13+ years for this game. As I have never played the original, I hold no affinity for the series, but people all over the Twitterverse are claiming Ubisoft won E3 with this announcement. I’ll let you be the judge.
That wraps up all the major announcements out of Ubisoft, there were a few other games shown, but none that really peaked my interest, so I omitted them. On to Sony!
