Well Hello Goodbye Christopher Robin
There is truly nothing more uplifting than a good origin story, and Goodbye Christopher Robin seems to have it all. I am talking war. I am talking romance. I am talking Margot Robbie photographed oh so softly. I am talking Domhnall Gleeson. I am talking narration by Kelly Macdonald (this I actually legitimately like. She has a great speaking voice). Anyway, could it get anymore paint by numbers than this trailer, and likely the film that the trailer is advertising? I see shades of The Theory of Everything in regards to period look of the film, and the somewhat fancy, but in a vanilla way, cinematography. I also see shades of Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina, in regards to the stylistic scene transitions, and coincidentally (though not really, since he’s in everything), Domhnall Gleeson is in that flick to. Go ahead and feast your eyes on one of the more vanilla movie trailers that we have seen in a while, and quickly forget that this movie is coming out September 29th in the UK and October 13 stateside.
SNORE! Looks totally awful. I can’t wait to be so inspired by the soul-touching nature of this movie. Though Margot Robbie……..
As much as I appreciate your write up, this doesn’t really convince me to watch it. Rocket League calls me. hahaha
Rocket League… More like Socket League
“I am talking Margot Robbie photographed oh so softly”
Do you need a moment alone?
That wasn’t a compliment. The digital softness is gross.
