Here’s What Happened at The End of Fortnite Season 10
Fortnite’s Season 10 came to an end today. Like previous seasons the final event ushered in the start of a new Season, which in this case is Season 11. So what happened at The End of Fortnite Season 10? Let’s take a closer look at the final event which occured on October 13, 2019.
How Fortnite Season 10 Ended During The End?
Fortnite Season 10 (Season X) introduced a number of new things to the popular BR title including the B.R.U.T.E mech, new Rift Zones, and new missions. After the Season 9 finale showing the fight between mech and monster, Season 10 was a bit of a mellow season building up towards it’s crazy ending. So what exactly was that ending?
Approaching Meteor
Fortnite Season 10 ended with bang, literally. In the game mode called The End, a large meteor appeared heading straight towards the island. As the meteor hung in the air, a countdown appeared on the rocket in Dusty Depot.
Dusty Depot Rocket Launch
The rocket in Dusty Depot had a countdown on it of about 15 minutes. At the 15 minute mark the rocket took off and exploded in the sky. When the rocket exploded it created a number of tears. Out of these tears a number of smaller rockets appeared and they zipped around the map.
Meteor Impact and Blackhole
Once the smaller rockets finished zipping around, they appeared by the meteor. The meteor and rockets hit and then a laser barrage hit the island and cause a shockwave that sent players flying into the atmosphere. After the shockwave a black hole appeared and everything was sucked into it, including players.
After being taken into the black hole players are met with a black hole screen. From here the only option was to stay or exit the game. It appears they are using this as a sort of downtime to release what I assume is a new or radically altered map. As more information comes I will update this accordingly.
